Peloponnese travel guide

Best time to visit the Peloponnese: month by month

The peninsula works all year, but each season gives a different trip. Here is what to expect, and when we would go.

The short answer

May, June, September and October.

For warm days, a swimmable sea and fewer people, choose May, June, September or October. July and August are the hottest and busiest. Winter is mild on the coast and quiet.

What suits you depends on what you want to do. Swimmers need late May to October. Walkers prefer spring and autumn. Climbers come from autumn to spring.
